Big Data Expo launches global campaign

The China International Big Data Industry Expo began hosting a series of online events on Tuesday that will run to September to attract global attention to Guiyang, Guizhou province.

The online alternative was chosen after the annual event was suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sponsored by the Big Data Expo organizing committee, the online expo was broadcast live by 16 media organizations, including People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency and Colorful Guizhou.net. Tuesday's event was reported on more than 470 domestic and foreign media websites.

To maintain the influence of the Big Data Expo and express gratitude for the continuing support of people at home and abroad, the organizing committee decided to conduct a series of activities from May to September to promote its key concepts and promote Guiyang globally.

Follow-up activities will include the Big Data Dialogue and Live Visit, which will discuss the ecology of the big data industry and technological developments. Interviews with companies that have participated in the Big Data Expo will be featured.
