A showcase of Shanghai's achievements in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic opens on Tuesday at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

Taking place from Aug 25 to Sep 25, the 2,300-square-meter exhibition depicts, in nine chapters, the efforts by the municipality in containing and combating the pandemic and how life returned to normal.

On display are more than 700 photographs, 200 objects and four large screen video projects. Some of the exhibits include the personal protective gear used by the 1,649 Shanghai medical workers who aided efforts in Wuhan of Hubei province, life-saving equipment and robots that are used for sterilization purposes.

Admission to the exhibition is free, but visitors have to make reservations online via www.shshxc.cn, or through the WeChat account "dongfang rijiben" (Journal of the East).

Visitors will need to present their ID and health QR codes at the gate and have their temperature taken. They will also be required to wear face masks throughout their visit.
