Memorializing Guangxi's role model who dedicated life to fighting poverty

Huang Wenxiu, a postgraduate from Beijing Normal University, died in a flash flood at the age of 30 while driving back to her village in Baise, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, last June.
After graduating from Beijing Normal University in 2016, Huang returned to her hometown of Baise in Guangxi and served as a grassroots official. She dedicated her life to poverty alleviation in Guangxi and was awarded the title "role model of the times" by the central government.
Since March 2018, she has been leading poverty alleviation efforts in Baini village, Leye county, as the village's Party chief. A total of 418 villagers were lifted out of poverty thanks to her efforts.
