All you need to know about G20 Riyadh Summit

Editor's note: The 15th Group of 20 Summit will be held virtually from Nov 21 to 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As countries are experiencing the COVID-19 crisis and an economic slowdown, the upcoming summit will set the foundations for a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable recovery from the crisis. The following is a brief overview of the summit.

Summit theme and agenda

Themed "Realizing Opportunities of the 21st Century for All", this year's summit seeks to "deepen global cooperation".

The summit will focus on three major agenda items: first, empowering people by creating the conditions in which all, especially women and youth, can live, work and thrive; second, safeguarding the planet by fostering collective efforts to protect natural resources; and third, shaping new frontiers by adopting long-term and bold strategies to share the benefits of innovation and technological advancement.
