Shanghai celebrates inaugural Chinese People's Police Day

In the morning, more than 400 police officers attended a flag-raising ceremony at the Shanghai Public Security Bureau and renewed the vows they took when they joined the police force.

Police helicopters displaying the Chinese national flag and the police flag flew over the Bund in the morning as well.

In the afternoon, a new police call center in Shanghai was unveiled, making the municipality the first city in the country to have two police call centers.
