Seniors as well as mothers with infants in their arms or toddlers walking hand-in-hand were escorted home by volunteers after they got off the vans or buses.

Some pet dogs were seen walking home with their owners. When these residents were transferred to hotels for quarantine on Jan 21, the first day Shanghai reported this wave of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, they could bring their pets along.
