There is no one-size-fits-all solution and it depends on what kind of job. If it's a physical job, then retirement maybe a better choice to spend more time with family members and enjoy a leisurely life. But nevertheless, if the job makes you feel indispensible and satisfactory, then maybe to keep on working is a better choice.
