The early and middle-stage cherry trees in Shanghai Gucun Park are now in their best viewing period.
The park features more than 1,400 mu (93 hectares) of cherry trees, making it a must-visit place for spring outings in the city.
Though the hundreds of yoko cherry trees that were introduced to the park last year have entered the early blooming stage, the 2021 Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival that is scheduled from March 12 to April 12 will not be affected.
Six theme activities will be held during the festival, including a 24-hour livestream, a Hanfu garden tour and a women's 10-kilometer elite competition.
