China is willing to join with India to jointly deal with challenges the pandemic has forced on the world as well as the regional economy, and will provide assistance and aid within its capacity to Indian people at any time on India's request, Ministry of Commerce spokesman Gao Feng said on Thursday.

Relevant Chinese enterprises have taken action, and the first batch of oxygen generators made in China have arrived in India, the ministry has been informed, Gao said.

China and India are large developing countries and major emerging economies, and the two countries have strong economic complementarity and great potential for cooperation, he said.

Bilateral trade of the two countries reached $27.7 billion during the first quarter, increasing 42.8 percent year-on-year, he said.
