Beijing's sub-city center has been incorporating advanced design and technology into its three major public construction projects. Roofs will be completed atop the concrete and steel frames by the end of this month, officials said on Wednesday.

The three buildings are the grand theater, the library and the museum, which are scheduled to open by the end of 2023.

All three projects are located in a large area of city forests and widely use renewable, clean energy that moves the sub-city center toward its zero carbon emission target.

The theater will have top-quality sound effects for audiences, using international sound standards.

The library has a large glass wall with a height of about 15 meters to provide a bright reading environment.

The museum is equipped with anti-shock material and designs to ensure the safety of cultural relics and other items in exhibitions.
