Known as "the roof of the world", the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has long been an ideal and mysterious destination for visitors who are passionate about exploring remote lands. A high altitude plateau, mountains in all directions, great range of cultural heritage sites, unique folk customs...all these factors constitute the lure of Tibet. The peak season for tourism in Tibet is the summer months of June, July and August, when the climate is the most pleasant.
