New book explores China's governance

A book laying out China's principles of governance, National Governance under Great Changes, was recently released. The author Chen Xixi, a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, approaches the topic by looking China's fast economic growth and long-term social stability, analyzing the dialectical relationship between China's national governance system and the country's capacity and resources, its system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and Xi Jinping's thought on the governance of China.
In five chapters, the book sets the improvement and development of socialism with Chinese characteristics against the backdrop of the drastic changes happening around the world. It explores China's strategic thinking and experience in national governance and predicts the future modernization of China's national governance system and capability, which will be the only road for China to realize its rejuvenation.
