World's largest planetarium opens in Shanghai

SHANGHAI - The Shanghai Astronomy Museum, the world's largest planetarium in terms of building scale, officially opened on Saturday.

Covering approximately 58,600 square meters, the museum is in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lingang Special Area. As a branch of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum (SSTM), it will be open to the public on Sunday.

The museum features innovative architecture, exhibition areas with various themes, immersive technologies, and precious collections.
