Nyima Tsering and his friend, Ringtsing, set up a highland barley processing factory in 2019, with a personal investment of 480,000 yuan ($74,290), plus a 500,000 yuan loan from the government.

"Barley was collected from farmers and made into flour, which tourists love the most," said Nyima Tsering. "We are always figuring out various approaches to lift up villagers' income."
