The implementation guideline to further facilitate the construction of the Jing'an international innovation corridor in central Shanghai has been approved by the municipal government, said the development and reform commission of Jing'an district on Monday.
To help advance the construction of the innovation corridor, the local government of Jing'an district has come up with 20 favorable policies related to government services, technology innovation, financing, tax and talent development.
By 2025, the innovation corridor will grow into a high-standard demonstration base featuring active international cooperation as well as the initiatives and breakthroughs first launched in Jing'an. Together with the "global service provider" blueprint that the Jing'an government rolled out in February, the innovation corridor should also shoulder more technology innovation responsibilities in Shanghai, said the local government.
The Jing'an international innovation corridor was recognized by the State Council in December as the country's third batch of demonstration bases of entrepreneurship and innovation. Covering a total of 14 square kilometers, the corridor features multinational companies' regional headquarters in the northern end, internet and human resources industries in the central part and a complete big data industrial ecosystem in the southern end.
Meanwhile, the local government of Jing'an district will help the data industry grow into full swing by setting up a number of international platforms and promoting the deeper cooperation between industrial parks and technology companies.
