First China-led QR code standard released

The first China-led international standard for QR codes was officially released, China News Service reported on Thursday.

The International Organization for Standardization and International Electrotechnical Commission, two international standards organizations, officially released the international standard for the information technology.

This international standard is the first of its kind proposed and led by China. It is a major breakthrough in the development of China's automatic identification and data collection technology.
