Opening new horizons of English learning

chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2021-09-10 10:58

If a newspaper, like a teacher, could talk, you wouldn't be bothered with the issue of having to read between the lines. Therefore, a newspaper that cannot talk is not capable of being a good teacher.

The annual Teachers' Day, which falls on Sept 10, may be reminiscent of some of the most impressive teachers in your mind, including Clement Mathieu in Les Choristes, who works to positively affect the students' lives through music; or the head teacher surnamed Sa in Young Style, who is always in fighting spirit and encourages her students with inspiring mottoes; or John Keating in Dead Poets Society, who uses unorthodox methods to reach out to his students. As a matter of fact, you can learn from anything in the world if you are willing to. For instance, you can learn patience and perseverance from cicadas, independence and solidarity from ants, as well as optimism and integrity from trees. And if China Daily can talk, it would be a very competent teacher.

This reading pen, jointly launched by iFLYTEK and China Daily, is expected to open up new horizons of English learning. It will not only make you an efficient reader but also a good listener. While reading China Daily, you’ll make progress in learning English every day. Order it now!
