Terraced rice paddies are now covered in bright golden hues as the grain ripens in Tangjia village in Shunhuangshan National Forest Park, located in Dong'an county, Hunan province. It's a marvelous snapshot of autumn.

At 800 meters above sea level, the village has a time-honored tradition of cultivating rice, the staple food of local residents and the nation.

Based on the area's natural advantages, the local government has optimized the overall layout of the paddies, sightseeing platforms and roads to develop rural tourism.

The village, once hidden among mountains, has become famous as a place to relax, paint pictures and take photos.
