China will collect temporary anti-subsidy deposits on polyphenylene ether imports from the United States starting Oct 15, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Thursday.
According to findings from the investigation and countervailing regulations, the Ministry of Commerce preliminarily ruled there are subsidies for imported polyphenylene ethers originating in the US, and the domestic industry has suffered substantial damage.
Polyphenylene ether is a polymer prized for its heat resistance and used in the automotive and electronics industries.
