At a news conference in Beijing on Friday, Han Wenxiu, executive deputy
director of the Office of the Central Commission for Financial and Economic Affairs, said that entrepreneurs have many channels and ways to contribute to common prosperity, and to manage their businesses well to create wealth for the society is their duty, as well as the right way for them to make contributions to common prosperity.
Common prosperity is not to rob the rich to feed the poor. The focus of common prosperity is an adjustment from "making the cake bigger" to "cutting it fairly".
Private enterprises were, are and will continue to be an important force driving China's economic development. The country cannot realize common prosperity without successful enterprises, including private ones.
It should be seen that the State's policy of supporting the development of the private sector has not changed and will not change in the future. Entrepreneurs are practitioners, promoters, participants and beneficiaries of common prosperity.
The orderly realization of common prosperity will fully reshape and upgrade the driving force of development for private enterprises by creating a more inclusive external development environment for them.
Tertiary distribution, based on charity and public welfare, will help improve people's livelihoods, reduce social conflicts and enhance social stability, which will positively promote enterprises to obtain more inclusive financing conditions, higher labor productivity and a better market environment.
On the one hand, regulation in accordance with the law targets disorderly practices and emphasizes the standardization of market behaviors.
On the other, the government should provide policies to support private enterprises so as to ease their burdens and promote technological innovation.
The process of pursuing common prosperity will gradually release the dividends of various policies and systems for the development of the private economy, and provide them with a broader market space.
