In Hubei, fish cake is a big deal

A fish cake with a diameter of 4.28 meters was made fresh last week in Jiangling county, Hubei province.
According to measurements by the World Record Certification Agency, an organization headquartered in London, it is the world's biggest fish cake, weighing more than 600 kilograms. It used 2,600 eggs, 80 kg of pork and 1,500 kg of idella fish.
To save food, the fish heads and tails were used to make fish soup, which was offered to tourists free at the site.
Jiangling county is in Jingzhou, Hubei province, which has a long history of freshwater fish. Fish cake is a representative dish of Hubei cuisine.
