Thousands of black-tailed gulls are seen in a sea of wild rape flowers that are in full bloom at Hailyu Island off the sea of Rongcheng, a county-level city administered by Weihai, Shandong province.
More than 40,000 black-tailed gulls gather at the island every year from March to August, according to the provincial-level nature reserve of Chengshantou.
