Gary Rawnsley, professor at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China in Zhejiang province, has been impressed by the speed of change in China after many years working and living in the country.

In 2004, Rawnsley, from the United Kingdom, was involved in the founding of the school, the first Sino-foreign university to be set up in China.

He describes his first visit to Ningbo as an unforgettable experience that influenced his decision to return to UNNC in 2018. Since then, he has witnessed the dramatic changes in the city.
