Seng Han Thong, former member of Parliament in Singapore, said this was a very meaningful event and was popular with Singaporeans who love tourism. Many people in Singapore, this multi-ethnic country, are deeply influenced and fond of Chinese culture. The integration of poetry of Tang (618-907) and Song (960-1279) dynasties with China's beautiful landscape have helped Singaporeans to better understand Chinese culture.

Nearly 300 people from Singapore's tourism, aviation, media, education and celebrities from all walks of life attended the event. A number of large-scale travel agencies in Singapore and several major Chinese airlines stationed in Singapore promoted Chinese tourism on the spot.
