Participants visited the former residences of Chen Yi (1901-72), a marshal of the People's Liberation Army, and Deng Xiaoping (1904-97), chief architect of China's reform and opening-up policies, along with China's largest mausoleum for martyrs of the Red Army. They saw many local examples of intangible cultural heritage.
