At the competition, a total of 978 pieces of silkworm art were created in the shape of birds, plums blossoms in buds and golden butterflies.

With the country calling for easing the burden of excessive homework and off-campus tutoring for students undergoing compulsory education, many schools have set up labor education courses.

Li said in 2020, the school established a modern labor course base for sericulture with two mulberry tree farms totaling about 2.7 hectares. The smaller farm, which is 0.7 hectare was opened at the school.

Depending on the laboratory's research, the primary school developed multiple labor education courses, such as genetic silkworm breeding, genetic mulberry planting and silkworm derivative product development for the students.
