As a main guest, Dong Xi shared his inspirations for writing and literary adaption with Vietnamese readers, and interacted with them for two hours. Dong introduced that his work Cuangaideming tells a story about a Chinese peasant changing his destiny in '80s and '90s when China had not achieved poverty alleviation. The protagonist of the novel was typical, epitomizing the people at that time.

Several novels written by Dong have been imported to Vietnam by CHIBOOKS. Publisher Ruan said these literary works bring segments of Chinese society and Chinese people's lives in front of Vietnam readers, enabling them to know more about China and Chinese people at that particular time. There are commonalities between China and Vietnam, in terms of society, people, lifestyle and living habit, so these books could be a booster for Vietnamese readers to understand the common feelings of human beings.
