Chinese gold medal athlete jumps into the hearts of Gen Z
Chinese long jumper Wang Jianan, who won the first long jump gold medal for China at the 2022 World Athletics Championships, joins Generation Z's Words to share his stories about track-and-field sports and encourage Gen Zers to pursue their dreams.
In this episode, Wang Jianan talks about the challenges he faced and the progress that the Chinese national team has made during the past years. When asked about who his athletic heroes are, Wang said there are many, such as Liu Xiang, Li Jinzhe, and Su Bingtian, who impacted his attitude toward training.
In a message to young sports lovers and those who are chasing their dreams despite of uncertainty, Wang Jianan said, "Hold on to your dreams! I hope all of you can have a target and the confidence to aim high."
