Northwest China's Qinghai province is famous for its spectacular scenery and multiethnic culture.

Hoh Xil, located in the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, is a UNESCO world heritage site and the largest and highest plateau in the world. It is home to more than 230 species of wild animals including the endangered Tibetan antelope.

Other famous scenic spots include the Qinghai Lake, China's largest inland saltwater lake; Chaka Salt Lake, known as the "Mirror of the Sky"; and Kumbum Monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery founded in 1379.

Amazing China in 60 Seconds is a short-video series covering cultural and scenic hotspots across the country.
