Digital collection of 'Salute to Scientific and Technological Workers' to be launched

China Daily and the China Association for Science and Technology will jointly launch a digital collection of "Salute to Scientific and Technological Workers", an eight-page edition of China Daily newspaper on the key achievements of the country's science and technology advancement over the past decade, on Sept 30.

The limited edition digital collection will be available free on Baidu app's interstellar mini-program.

Published on the National Science and Technology Workers Day on May 30, the eight-page edition of "Salute to Scientific and Technological Workers" introduces the development of China's science and technology since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China by telling the stories of scientists, showing the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement in China's science and technology and highlighting the vital role of science and technology in building a community with a shared future for mankind.

The eight-page digital collection will present China's scientific and technological achievements in a three-dimensional manner. Every scientific and technological achievement displayed on the page is the crystallization of the collective wisdom of Chinese scientists.

As the first eight-page digital collection launched by China Daily, this is a milestone and an innovative attempt jointly led by China Daily and the China Association for Science and Technology. It is planned by the International Science and Technology Communication Research Center and jointly produced by China Daily's Vision Arts and Technology Center. In the future, there will be more digital collections and metaverse-related activities.
