Dedicated Tibetan gives all for company gains

As the sun reflects off the summits of distant mountains, Tenzin Dondrub takes a final sip of his butter tea from his wooden bowl and heads out to his office.

The Tibetan man has gone from being a front-line worker at Tibet Gaozheng Building Materials Co in 2000 to serving as a director of the manufacturing workshop 10 years later. The company he has dedicated himself to for a decade has become the largest producer of cement on the Tibetan plateau region thanks in no small part to his efforts.

Under Tenzin Dondrub's leadership, the company and its employees have prospered. In more recent years, he has guided Tibet Gaozheng Building Materials Co in the direction of sustainable development, promoting reduced energy usage and emissions.

Tenzin Dondrub became a member of the Communist Party of China in 2003 and has been growing with the CPC for the last two decades. He cherishes life in the Party's care, and remains true to the mission of serving the people, dedicating his life to the prosperity of the company and benefiting its employees and the wider society.

"Right from the beginning, I realized that the Party's mission was to serve the people, and I have been living with this core objective in mind for the last two decades," said Tenzin Dondrub, adding that working for other people has always been fulfilling for him.

He now serves as the company's deputy general manager, the director of the company's fabrication workshop, and the Party secretary of the company's production line.

As a workaholic, for the last 10 years he has not asked for leave from his work even once, instead finding respite in the responsibility of his duties.

Tenzin Dondrub stresses that the successful management of employees involves excellent communication and promptly and adequately addressing any issues that may arise.

"An effective workshop management system is a must for any company so that it can face new challenges and seek future development. It is fundamental in enabling employees to meet their potential and efficiency, and stimulate their enthusiasm for work," he said.

To address historical issues in the workshop, he totally revised the way it was managed by introducing new regulations, supervision, rewards and punishments to improve efficiency.

"In 2020, many manufacturing processes in the workshop were technically modified, creating a more comfortable working environment for the employees, greatly reducing the labor intensity and improving the efficiency of production," he said.

Tenzin Dondrub said he always puts safety first, and reminds his employees to speak out if they see any potential dangers.

His company has had no safety accidents for six consecutive years.

In 2019, he was awarded as a regional model worker. In 2021, he was awarded the China Youth May 4th Medal, and he has been elected as one of the region's delegates to the coming 20th CPC National Congress.

"Being chosen as a delegate of the 20th CPC National Congress is a great honor and I'm deeply aware of the heavy responsibility," he said.
