Chinese new energy vehicle startup Niutron launched its first model NV on Saturday with three versions at prices ranging from 278,800 yuan ($39,179) to 318,800 yuan. The model will be delivered to customers since December.

The mid-and-large-sized SUV is as long as 4,915 millimeters with the wheelbase stretched out to 2,910 mm.

Based on the company's Gemini power module, the model has two powertrain options: a pure electric and a range extender. The range extender variant has a range of 939 kilometers under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Cycle and 1,257 km under the China Light-duty Vehicle Test Cycle on one charge.

The pure electric NV has the longest CLTC range of 560 km.

The model features 24 advanced assistant driving functions, including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control and others.

Equipped with a central screen, the model allows the operation of the Niutron OS and CarPlay at the same time. The paid service of hardware upgrades for assistant driving functions is also provided.

The company plans to open 44 retail stores in 23 cities nationwide by the end of October and the figure will grow to 120 retail stores in 40 cities by the end of this year. Niutron will also set up 100 service outlets across the country to provide after-sales services.
