Yangpu district signs MOU with Laos commerce authorities

The People's Government of Yangpu District of Shanghai and the Department of Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Laos signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Jointly Building a High-Level Economic and Trade Cooperation Platform during the fifth China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Sunday.
The two sides will deepen cooperation in expanding the scale of trade and supporting the exports of more high-quality agricultural products from Laos to Yangpu district, according to the cooperation.
Yangpu district, which is known as a hub for internet companies, will provide digital resources and platform support for the sales of Laos' high-quality agricultural products in China.
The cooperation will also encourage and promote exchanges and mutual learning between the business leaders of Laos, along with other members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, and the business communities of the Yangpu district and even the Yangtze River Delta region.
Laos has participated in the CIIE for five consecutive years.
A signing ceremony involving Yangpu district's trading group was held on the same day.
CP.GOODS, Henkel China, Ou Jian Network, TORRE ORIA S.L, Tianyuan International Trade, and other major purchasers signed purchase orders of $500 million (35.9 billion yuan) during the ceremony, an increase of 8.6 percent year-on-year.
