Some 7.30 million cargo containers were transported via rail-sea intermodal trips from January to October 2022, a 18.6-percent year-on-year increase, according to data from the Ministry of Transport.

At present, the domestic transport network is smooth with stable logistics indicators, offering strong support for industrial and supply chains, Shu Chang, spokeperson of the Ministry of Transport, said at a news conference on Friday.

The ministry actively expanded effective investment in transportation, put policies and measures to help enterprises tide off difficulties into place and provided transportation-related service guarantees for stable economic fundamentals.

Since early this year, China's shipping sector has stuck to high-quality development, sped up infrastructure construction and promoted green and smart transition.

The ministry further strengthened green and low-carbon development such as green ports, green waterways and green ships, promoting the application of new and clean energy in the transport sector.

During the first 10 months, shore power projects in the Yangtze River Economic Belt have delivered a power supply of 62 million kilowatt-hours, up 27 percent year-on-year.
