In February 2019, Chinese was officially listed in the curriculum at all levels of education in Saudi Arabia. So far, four universities in the country have established Chinese majors, attracting more than 800 students.

During the process of compiling the textbooks, experts were striving to provide a Chinese education solution integrating teaching materials and methods, teacher resources, supporting materials and hardware facilities for Arab countries.

In line with the educational policies and plans of the Arab countries, and following the frontier development trend of Chinese education, experts formulated the standards for international Chinese teaching and created an innovative style of expression and presentation adapted to the reading methods and cultural habits of Arab people.
