Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei kick off winter carnival

Culture and tourism authorities of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei jointly launched winter fun packages on Jan 6.

Beijing’s Miyun district, Tianjin’s Jizhou district and Hebei’s Chengde city have integrated their winter tourism resources and rolled out five travel routes that cover local distinctive gourmet food and intangible cultural heritages.

The goal is to vigorously develop winter tourism and promote culture and tourism market consumption in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, according to the authorities.

The three places will strengthen winter resources sharing and speed up developing a batch of winter sports and entertainment activities to spice up travel experience and upgrade themselves into a world-class winter travel destination.

For example, the Nashan and Yunfoshan ski resorts in Miyun have upgraded their offerings, including upscale ski suits and snowboards. Winter camps and fun programs have also been prepared for family travelers.
