Baocun Tunnel of Jinyong Railway achieves new milestone

The Baocun Tunnel of the Jinyong Railway, a 10,360-meter-long national key project undertaken by China Railway No 5 Engineering Group Co Ltd, was drilled through successfully on March 19, 2023.

The Jinyong Railway is a double-track railway for both passengers and freight transportation, with a total length of 188.3 kilometers, starting from Jinhua West Station on the Shanghai-Kunming Railway and ending at Ningbo Station on the Hangzhou-Ningbo Railway.

After completion, it will realize the interconnection between Yiwu in Zhejiang province and Ningbo Zhoushan port, promote Zhejiang province's faster integration into the Belt and Road Initiative, and boost the economic and social development along the line.
