"I heard before that frisbee is a popular sport. Today I am very happy to play together with my classmates, and I hope our school will conduct more games like it in the future," he said.
Sonam Dondrub, vice-headmaster of the Dongcheng Branch of Lhasa Experimental Primary School, said his school has always focused on cultivating students' growth in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor pursuits. Helping every child grow up healthy and happy is the central goal.
"Conducting a frisbee activity at our school is a good thing. Our children can feel the charm brought by frisbees, and it also helps to train their coordination and cohesion," he said.
Wang Zhaoting, deputy director of the region's guidance and management center of social and ethnic traditional sports, said the region's sports bureau has been working on promoting sports services — with the help of government agencies — on school campuses, in communities, in rural areas, at monasteries and in the military.
"The coverage, participation and influence of mass fitness initiatives has further improved. People's health level and happiness index have improved as part of a practice of implementing the national strategy of national fitness," Wang said.
