A section of the Great Wall was reflected on the water's surface recently because of a lowered water level in Panjiakou reservoir in Kuancheng Manchu autonomous county of Chengde, Hebei province. Some magnificent scenery resulted.

The Xifengkou section of the wall, built during the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644), had been partly submerged after the reservoir was build in the 1970s. It shows itself or dips underwater from time to time when the water level changes depending on the local weather.
