Dragon Boat Festival activities in full swing

With the Dragon Boat Festival approaching, activities are being held across Shandong province.

At a canteen in Rongcheng's Lidao town, volunteers made zongzi, a traditional Chinese sticky rice dumpling wrapped in reed leaves, for the elderly who came to the canteen for lunch on Monday.

They also made sachets as decorations.

People in Wucheng, a county through which the Grand Canal flows, held dragon boat races. Foreigners who live in the county joined in the traditional local celebrations , such as making zongzi to experience the culture.
