In Shan county in Heze, East China's Shandong province, a traditional culinary treasure is capturing the hearts of diners.
Originating from Huanggang town, the local specialty known as Huanggang Sanzi was acknowledged as a representative of Heze's intangible cultural heritage in 2021.
The popularity of Sanzi is evident, as signboards for it can now be seen everywhere across the county.
Sanzi is made from pure cottonseed oil and high-quality wheat flour and carefully processed through 10 steps, with the whole batch of dough eventually becoming one thin noodle.
