Scorching summer heat kills tour guide in Bejing

A tour guide died of heat stroke in Beijing on Sunday, as the city sizzled in the summer weather, Beijing Radio & Television Station reported on Monday.

The guide was receiving tourists at the Summer Palace and was sent to the hospital immediately after showing symptoms, but the person died after unsuccessful emergency intervention, according to several tour guides, the report said.

Recently, high temperatures in Beijing have exceeded 40 C for days, which led to the government to releasing warnings for people working outside.
