Tencent report discusses impact of AI

A report on the tendencies of AI development in the large-scale model era was jointly published by Tencent Research Institute, Tongji University and Tencent Cloud on Friday.

Based on the three parties' research on AI, the report raised ten major tendencies of large-scale model in regards to technology, application and society. 

"The new generation AI is not only capable of solving complex problems, but also achieving marked progress in innovative and creative tasks, which also triggers concern over AI‘s rapid development. So humans should rethink the impact of AI," wrote Si Xiao, president of Tencent Research Institute in the preface of the report. 

Wu Yunsheng, vice-president of Tencent Cloud, said Tencent announced its large-scale model product earlier in June. 

"Tencent looks to provide various industries with more innovative and commercial value solutions for digital transformation," Wu said.
