Mudslide claims lives in Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture

A mudslide hit a village in Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Gansu province at midnight Monday, causing two deaths and seven injuries. Another two people were missing till 9:59 am Tuesday, according to the prefecture’s emergency management bureau. 

Another 336 people from 76 households were relocated following the devastating mudslide once the local authorities dispatched the on-site emergency and rescue force, it said.
