Soccer league promotes rural tourism in Guizhou

The Village Super League, an ongoing grassroots soccer tournament in Rongjiang county of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture in Guizhou province, has attracted a large number of visitors from across the country.

Since May, when the match began, revenue into accommodation business in Rongjiang hit 33.22 million yuan ($4.62 million), jumping 171.1 percent year-on-year. As of July 16, the county received 2.31 million visitors, with tourism income reaching 2.59 billion yuan, according to the local convergence media center.
