Children's choir awarded at international festival

The 60th "Seghizzi" International Choral Singing Competition took place in Gorizia, Italy, from July 20 to 24.
On July 23, as the only Chinese choral singing group, Poly WeDo Children's Choir performed during the event. With seven Chinese songs, the choir performed under the baton of the conductor Ma Ding, receiving warm feedback from the audience.
The Chinese children's choir also won the "Children Voice" prize and Ma was awarded the "Best Youth Conductor" prize.
The first "Seghizzi" Choral Singing Competition took place in 1962 and became an international event the following year. More than 1,400 choirs and singers of 72 nations have participated in the event since its inception.
During their stay in Italy, the Chinese children's choir also performed Chinese pop songs and folk songs on the streets.
