A Shaoxing Metro official uses a speaker device while a train arrives at Doujiang Station on Line 2, whose first phase started operations on Wednesday, in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province. According to China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp Ltd, a State builder that joins the construction of the city's second metro line, the first phase has nine stations and spans 10.8 kilometers underground. Part of the local government's efforts to spur urban rail connectivity in the Yangtze River Delta region, the second metro line aims to support the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and facilitate trips to local tourist attractions.
