German piano duo Pianotainment presented an interactive concert at Beijing Concert Hall on Thursday.

Crazy Piano Concert featured improvisation, audience interaction, and the merging of diverse genres including dance and magic with piano performances.

The program included both well-known classical pieces, such as Beethoven’s Symphony No5, and adaptations of contemporary songs including Smells like Teen Spirit by US rock band Nirvana.

Since 2007, the duo, comprising German entertainers Stephan Weh and Marcel Dorn, has hosted concerts in various cities of China.

As a part of Beijing Concert Hall’s 2023 Gateway to Music series, the concert aimed to showcase piano performances in entertaining and educational ways, in line with the concert hall’s concept of promoting music education to the general public.
