Shanghai New International Expo Center hosts pet extravaganza

Pet Fair Asia 2023 kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on Wednesday.

Spanning 230,000 square meters, the massive fair has 17 exhibition halls featuring over 2,000 exhibitors and over 20,000 brands of pet food, snacks, supplies, imported products, medical equipment, and intelligent devices.

One of the biggest highlights of this year's fair is a race for dogs. More than 100 pure-blooded racing dogs will be present at the fair.

Events like the CKU All Breed Champion Exhibition, CKU Pet Beauty, and CKU Dog Handler Competition will also take place during the fair period.

Meanwhile, more than 200 cats will participate in a "beauty pageant" competition at the expo center. These cats come from all over the country and include well-known breeds like the Puppet Cat, the Persian Cat, the Golden Gradual British Long-haired Cat, the Minut, and the Toy Tiger.
