Yuntianhua Group, a company based in Kunming, Yunnan province, is promoting fertilization and cultivation techniques in Myanmar to help farmers increase their yields and income.

"The 30-acre Yuntianhua rice demonstration field, which is a collaboration between Yuntianhua and Myanmar's ministry of agriculture, not only showcases the quality of our products and cultivation management capabilities, but also directly helps local farmers improve their planting techniques," said Fu Shaoxue, deputy director of Yuntianhua's strategic development department.

Fu expressed the hope that the demonstration field will serve as a beneficial exploration in cultivating high-yield and stable farmlands and promoting the modernization of agriculture in Myanmar.

A seminar on rice planting cultivation techniques was held at the Aung Myar Yar planting farm in Yangon on Aug 8. Fifty local farmers from the area, where the demonstration field is located, were invited to attend the seminar.

U Myint Swe, director of Yangon's agricultural department, expressed gratitude to the company for bringing to the country advanced cultivation techniques and high-quality fertilizers that are suitable for local climate and soil conditions.

From 2018 to 2020, Yuntianhua collaborated with Myanmar's ministry of agriculture and conducted demonstration trials on 720 acres of land in several locations, planting cotton, corn, rice and other crops. They provided a complete set of cultivation plans and demonstrated to local farmers how to efficiently use fertilizers.
